The Hon’ble Prime Minister had on 07.11.2015 announced, a Reconstruction Plan for J&K involving an outlay of Rs. 80,068 Crore. The Reconstruction Plan essentially rests on five Pillars- Humanitarian Relief, Crisis Management, Social Infrastructure Development Projects and Economic Infrastructure. The Reconstruction Plan aims at expanding economic infrastructure, expanding provision of basic services, providing thrust to employment and income generation and providing relief and rehabilitation to the victims of September, 2014 floods and to strengthen Disaster Management Framework of the State. The Reconstruction Plan also seeks to strengthen the road infrastructure development projects in the J&K. Accordingly, 15 projects were sanctioned with a total cost of Rs 36938 Cr.
